The NKFIH has deemed our grant proposal worthy of support. The title of the project is: "Laboratory Development of Eco-friendly and Innovative Solid-Phase Peptide Synthesis for a Sustainable Future: Smart Peptide Chemistry in Flow (SPF)." (2025-3.1.1-ED-2025-00013).
In this project, we are continuously refining our methods, focusing on keeping costs to a minimum while making the amino acid coupling process increasingly environmentally friendly. We refer to this approach as "Smart Peptide Chemistry in Flow," or SPF for short. This strategy takes into account the environmental footprint, the duration of the synthesis, the quantity of reagents used, and the type of solvent—all of which are optimized simultaneously.
