In Nature Genetics recent issue (2014, Febr.) in close collaboration with K.Tory (Semmelweis University) and C. Antignac (Descartes University – Sorbonne Paris) we studied the molecular bases of an autosomal recessive disorder, nephrotic syndrome type 2. Molecular modeling of podocin dimerization was accomplished giving rise to an explanation of nephrotic syndrome at a molecular level.
